K-FLEX Butyl Tape is a premium self-adhesive sealing tape consisting of a high-performance butyl rubber adhesive compound, protected by a reinforced aluminium film. Highly adhesive even at low temperatures to all common building materials, this professional-grade tape is highly resistant to ageing and UV rays. The 100mm width is ideal for larger sealing applications and wider joints.

Application Instructions

1. Choose the most suitable width and metal finish of the sealing tape
2. Ensure surface is clean, dry, smooth, and dust-free
3. For applications between 0°C and 5°C, ensure frost or condensation are absent
4. Unroll tape to desired length and remove release liner
5. Position the sealing tape and roll-press to avoid air bubbles
6. When connecting two tapes, use an overlap of at least 5 cm
7. Press with a roller or cloth pad for optimal adhesion

Storage & Shelf Life

Use within 12 months from production date. Store in original unopened packaging in a dry, well-ventilated place at +5°C to +40°C. Storage above 50°C may lead to difficulties removing the release liner. Product is not affected by frost.

Important: Butyl sealants are plastic products with no elastic recovery. Do not use for permanent fixing or load-bearing applications instead of an adhesive or mechanical fixing. Butyl adhesive is sensitive to solvents - check chemical compatibility with substrate adhesives.
